Five Star Meals

Welcome to Food Services!

Bassett Unified School District participates in a Universal Breakfast and Lunch Program called Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for the current 2021-2022 school year. The CEP program allows our district to serve breakfast and lunch at no cost each day to all enrolled students in our district, regardless of income level. If you children attend any of our BUSD schools, breakfast and lunch will be available to them at no charge.

The school breakfasts and lunches that we serve follow U.S. Department of Agriculture guidelines for healthy school meals. The School Breakfast and Lunch Programs cannot succeed without your support; please encourage your children to participate daily in the school meal programs.

Good Nutrition and learning go hand in hand!

The Nutrition Services department is made up of a team of food and nutrition professionals that are dedicated to students' health, well being and their ability to learn. We support learning by promoting healthy habits for lifelong nutrition and fitness practices.

Meals, foods and beverages sold or served at schools meet state and federal requirements which are based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. We provide students with access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet the health and nutrition needs of students.
